Is it mandatory to report guest data to Spanish police? +

Yes. Since 2023, all tourist accommodation owners in Spain must register guest data in SES.Hospedajes (formerly the Civil Guard system). Gotocheck automatically sends traveller reports the moment the guest completes online check-in.

How does online check-in work for holiday apartments? +

The guest receives a link via WhatsApp or email before arrival. From their phone they scan their ID or passport (automatic OCR), sign the contract digitally and receive the smart lock access code. No app, no printers, no waiting.

Which smart locks are compatible with Gotocheck? +
